1 Choose chunky links when making men's jewelry, rather than thin and flimsy pieces. Intersperse raw stones between the chunky links to add some visual interest to the piece.
2 Think outside the box and use items not intended for jewelry making. Incorporate uncommon tools like rubber, bike chains or cotter pins for an industrial appearance.
3 Weave men's jewelry using twine, cord or hemp. Twist and tie the material into intricate patterns.
4 Make wire-wrapped men's jewelry by using thick wire gauge. Pinch the end over and wrap it around itself. Continue to wrap, forcing an oblong shape until you have enough for a ring or a bracelet. Add diagonal wraps for added interest. Tuck the ends in so there are no sharp points to scratch.
