Traditions and jewelry for newborns

Pregnancy brings some uncertainty. It is concerned about the health and well-being of the baby. I do everything right? Does my baby need anything or something?

Worldwide there are many traditions for the baby's health and for the birth itself.

Here are some traditions:

Jewish tradition:
Eight days after the birth of newborns circumcised the boy and gets its name. Girls get their name by a blessing in the synagogue.

Islamic tradition
In Islam, boys are circumcised. There is no set age and rituals vary by country.

African Masai (Kenya)
The Maasai in Kenya give a child after a year the name because they believe that correspond to the name of the character should be.

Many Western women wear during pregnancy, pregnancy chain, an extra long chain that hangs right on the abdomen. Often, this chain has a healing effect, if you believe in it.

A relaxing birthstone or a ball with a soothing sound are very popular.

Today it is very fashionable, a mother necklace for newborns to have. Many Hollywood stars have a chain for their firstborn.

On 25 October 2010 Heidi Klum wore on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the initials of her four children around her neck. A beautiful, 14 karat gold necklace with four shiny, round discs, each with a letter, also 14 karat gold.

Katie Holmes wears a S as a pendant, the first letter of their daughter with Tom Cruise, Suri. Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera have both a chain with the initials of their newborn babies.

Mary Carey received from her husband Nick Cannon a beautiful name necklace of diamonds with the two names of their newborn twins! A necklace of true love!

Even celebrities like Christina Milian, Courtney Marra, Tori Spelling, Allison Sweeney, Nicole Sullivan, Katherine Heigl and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have been due to their babies, gained necklace.

Besides the well-known chain of names, now the chain letter is very popular. But not only the name brands are famous. Always fashionable, the bracelets with engraved or letters, even for those without children.
